You may have already heard that coaching is a powerful and effective process that can literally transform your life and help you become the person you always wanted to be. But what is life coaching all about?
First and foremost, coaching with Horizons is all about you! You won’t hear your coach share his own life stories or experiences with you and he certainly won’t start telling you what to do. Life coaching typically involves a series of one hour sessions, usually spaced a week apart. Every minute of every session will be spent helping you to re-evaluate your life and goals and to agree the next steps you need to take to achieve those future goals! Along the way, coaching can help boost your confidence, calm your worries, and enhance your sense of happiness and wellbeing. Wow! Sounds too good to be true? Well give it a try by booking a FREE one-hour introductory session today.

When you choose Horizons, you will usually begin by meeting your coach, Paul Hemphill, by Skype, phone or face-to-face at his home in Newcastle upon Tyne. Paul is someone you can depend on to listen to you without judgement or rushing to conclusions; and someone who will always put your best interests first. Generally, most coaching programmes with Horizons lead to the preparation of a personal Action Plan at the end of the first four sessions. Some clients then like to book further sessions at monthly or even quarterly intervals to review progress but this is not essential.
Coaching is about your future, not your past. It begins by helping you to fully understand your current position (who you really are) and to recognise and acknowledge the values you most want to live by. This is sometimes much more difficult than it sounds. We all tend to claim some things are important to us which aren’t our values at all. They were given to us by our parents and partners, our teachers, managers and friendship groups and we pretend to them and to ourselves that they are our values too because we don’t want to hurt them or let them down. But deep down we know that we can never be truly happy by trying to live out someone else’s idea of what our lives should be. Once you are sure where you are starting from, you can begin the truly exciting part of life coaching: Planning your future by setting long and short term goals that will literally transform your life.
Best of all, life coaching is a positive experience! The primary aim of every session with Paul is for you to leave feeling better and stronger than before. His only objective is to help you to become the person you always wanted to be.
"Thank you Paul, I wish to thank you very much for your coaching. I found you to be extremely helpful. It was wonderful to have someone really listening to what I was saying and helping me to see in which direction I needed to be heading in order to overcome my issues. Your intuitive approach really helped me to clarify where I needed to make changes in my life and more importantly, how I was going to implement those changes. Since then I have been doing so to very beneficial outcomes in all the areas we covered during my sessions with you Paul. I would not hesitate to come back to you for further coaching in the future.” Fiona Young, Orpington, Kent
